Our school age camp (entering kindergarten +) has a max of 10 children per group. In addition there will be visits to the Batavia Quarry, Otter Cover, and Sunset Park will also occur frequently. Camp runs weekly June 1st through July 31st for 9 weeks and we have added a BONUS week from August 3rd to August 7th!
Our School Age camp group will also spend 3 consecutive Wednesdays in July at Big Rock Organic Farm getting hands on experience as to what a real farm looks like and the work it takes to keep one running.

Parker’s Swim SchoolLessons are held at the Vaughan Aquatic Center indoor pool in Aurora. The levels are designed for specific age groups to ensure appropriate curriculum, small class sizes and highly qualified instructors.
Technology & Tools June 1st to June 5th: Have you ever built something using just your feet? Well on National Barefoot Day the children will give it a go! We will see how simple technology can help you make natural bug spray at The Tea Tree in Batavia, see whose egg can last the longest in an Egg Drop competition and end the week with a trip to the SciTech museum and a donut for National Donut Day.
Identity & Disguise June 8th to June 12th: Create your own super hero identity and disguise after being inspired from a trip to All Dressed Up in Batavia to see and try on costumes, learn about the disguises insects and animals use in nature to protect themselves with a trip to Harvest Park, see what herbs and spices you can identify, and end the week with a trip to the Marriott Lincolnshire Theater to see the Elephant & Piggie’s “We are in a Play”.
Sense of Taste June 15th to June 19th: Before digging into the wonderful world of taste we will see how well they know their foods with a blind taste test! A trip to Esther’s Place to make and take our own cheese, sample some fudge on National Fudge day, try new and unusual veggies on National Eat your Veggies Day, have a cupcake topping challenge, and get a behind the scene tour of California Pizza Kitchen followed by the chance to make their own pizza for lunch that day at CPK!
Miracles of Nature June 22nd to June 26th: Hiking with a naturalist at Hickory Knolls Nature center will begin our week discovering the miracles of nature. We will then take what we learn on our own hike at Knock Knolls in Naperville, have an in-house visit from Karen’s Nature Tales, go on a trail ride with horses at Forest View Farms and end the week with an all day trip to the Wildlife Discovery Center in Lake Forest (a living natural history museum, wildlife conservation and environmental program).
Say “YES” to the Mess June 29th to July 3rd: This week is all about making a mess! Monday is International Mud Day…which we will celebrate 100% with MUD. No one will pass up the chocolate syrup Slip’n Slide, body painting, making Oobleck, Mentos and pop explosions, tongue paintings and more! We will see if animals are messier then us at a tour of Big Rock Organic Farm and end the week off with a bang by make our own messy version of fireworks for the 4th of July.
Balance & Build July 6th to July 10th: All week we will work on our balance and building skills. We will start with yoga at Soma Studio in Batavia, play jumbo Jenga, create and go through obstacle courses they build themselves with pvc pipes and fittings, and have strength and height building competitions. Enjoy a challenge on a Go Apes ropes course in Western Springs and at the end of the week we will go to “Ninja Park” in Warrenville to see how well their practice paid off!
Expression July 13th to July 17th: This week is all about the arts! Music, dance, emotion, acting, arts….. We will cover it all! At Esther’s Place they will create their own fiber artwork, spend a day creating and photographing their own nature art inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, have a “Paint and Sip” event, go to Hootenanny in house for a rock’n good time, and end the week creating our own Emoji for National Emoji Day!
Go Green July 20th to July 24: What can we do to keep our Earth clean… A LOT! After a visit from Homewood Disposal services about recycling we will be inspired to re-use items for fun art projects, turn old T-shirts into shopping bags, take time to clean along the river and a nearby park, get a visit from Wendy the Waste Truck, and make our own recycled paper. A trip to Prairie Patch Play Area is part of the fun too!
Camp Rewind July 27th to July 31st: Campers will list their favorite activities or trips from the summer and we will re-do them all . It will be one unforgettable week! Not to mention National Water Park Day is the 28th!
