Continuity of Care

Mill Creek ECP recognizes that all children thrive in secure relationships, that relationships take time to develop, and that these important relationships are best when long lasting. Continuity of Care has emerged as a strongly recommended practice in education by NAEYC, Zero to Three, the Program for Infant/Toddler Care, and the Ounce of Prevention Fund.

Reggio Inspired

Motivated by the children's interest, excitement, and curiosity young children and their educators explore, question, and discover in a stimulating environment while fostering independence, empathy, cooperation, and creativity.  Children learn best through active, engaged, meaningful play presented in a developmentally appropriate manner.

Nature-Based

Research shows that children's social, psychological, academic, and physical health is positively impacted when they have daily connections with nature.  Nature play is catching tiny critters, collecting leaves and rocks, walking in tall grass, digging for buried treasure, splashing in a puddle, hiding amidst the shrubs, and climbing a tree as high as your dare.
