Ms. Kara
Ms. Kara joined us in January of 2023 in our toddler room and is now working with our 3–5-year-olds. She has an associate's degree and has been teaching in the early childhood field for 14 years. Ms. Kara lives in Batavia with her son, Wyatt. Her favorite activities outside of working with children include creating home decor and gifts such as candles, dream catchers, jewelry, etc using natural materials. She also enjoys staying mentally and physically well by taking barre workout classes in Geneva. Fun Fact: She grew up in Batavia!

Ms. Ashley B
Ms. Ashley has been teaching for over 15 years and recently joined us in August of 2025.  She is currently working towards a bachelor's degree in education and offers nature classes for children over the weekends.  Ms. Ashley has two children, a 6-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy.  She enjoys playing with her children and taking care of her chickens.  She loves hiking and when not at work you can find her coaching her daughters wrestling team! Fun Fact: She has several insect tattoos on her arm!

Mrs. Courtney
Mrs. Courtney joined Mill Creek ECP in March of 2023. She had been working in early childhood education for 6 years and obtained her CDA (Child Development Associate) with us, making her teacher qualified. She loves the small class sizes and family feel of Mill Creek ECP. Mrs. Courtney has a son attending Mill Creek ECP and has 3 cats! In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors and game nights with her family and friends. Fun Fact: Ms. Courtney has been a cosmetologist for over a decade and still does this on her spare time!

Ms. Irene
Ms. Irene joined us in March of 2025 as our afternoon enrichment teacher while she was attending school, working towards her degree in early childhood special education. She was able to adjust her classes to evenings and online so she could join us full time in the summer of 2025.  Ms. Irene has 6 brothers; she is the only girl in her family! She is half Mexican and half Honduran and enjoys sharing her language with the children. Ms. Irene enjoys reading. Fun Fact: She is a Strawberry Shortcake fan!

Mrs. Stephanie
Mrs. Stephanie began teaching at Mill Creek ECP in January of 2025. After seeing many of our classes out and about she reached out and we are glad she did! She has a bachelors in elementary education and prior to Mill Creek ECP was managing a pet store in Naperville. Mrs. Stephanie has lived in Batavia her entire life. She is married and has a dog named Daphne. Mrs. Stephanie enjoys being outdoors and crafting. Fun Fact: She has the benefit of being able to walk to and from work every day!

Ms. Ashley Z
Ms. Ashley joined the Mill Creek ECP team in November of 2024. She went to middle and high school right here in Batavia and had a strong passion for working with kids. After attending Batavia Highschool, she briefly attended Waubonsee community college and then went on to acquire her CDA, making her teacher qualified. She has over 6 years of experience working with children.  In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dog Beans and swimming!  Fun fact: She recently got engaged!

Mrs. Tanya
Mrs. Tanya started with us in January of 2026.  She has a bachelor's in psychology with a minor in family and consumer science focused on child development. After raising her two boys she has returned to school to take more classes in early childhood education to expand her knowledge.  Mrs. Tanya is very passionate about the Reggio Approach to education and is eager to dive into it with us. She enjoys observing and exploring nature (especially birds and critters), traveling and exploring new places, exercising, and enjoying a good cup of coffee with friends and family.  Fun Fact: She has a pet bunny at home named Benny.
